Opportunity:

RN - PICU

Job Details:

* 12-hour night shifts
* Weekend coverage required
* Ability to float to other UCSF facilities as needed; resources may be reassigned to a different department, unit, or facility within a 75+ mile radius
* Patient ratio of 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* 23-bed unit serving neonates, adolescents, infants, and pediatric patient populations
* Level 1 trauma center with mixed neuro and cardiac cases
* 5 years of experience required
* PICU experience required
* Pediatric CVICU experience preferred
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Teaching hospital experience required
* Travel experience accepted; local candidates also accepted
* BSN required
* California RN license in hand required
* Epic charting system experience required
* Required certifications: AHA BLS, PALS
* 2 references from most recent employer required at time of submittal
* Required skills include: End-Tidal CO2 monitoring, arterial line management, central line care, hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, IV vasopressors, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), ICP monitoring, external ventricular drain (EVD), BiPAP/CPAP management, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), tracheostomy care, management of chest tubes, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, pediatric dosage calculations, TPN/Lipids, and wound assessment/care
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, and unit secretary
