RN - Critical Care Step-Down

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Full-time position
* Critical Care Step-Down experience required with a minimum of 2 years
* Practices independently and demonstrates awareness of all relevant aspects of patient situations
* Provides routine and complex care with the ability to focus on long-range goals or plans
* Delivers nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
* Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
* Administers medications and treatments using appropriate protocols and monitors for side-effects and effectiveness
* Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given
* Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers
* Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers as needed to manage clinical situations
* Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA only), ACLS (AHA only)
* RN License in state of TX or compact required
