RN - MS/Tele Neuro Stepdown

Job Details:

* Variable scheduling type with 12-hour shifts
* Minimum of 8 weekend shifts every six weeks, combination of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
* Holiday coverage based on unit needs
* Floating may be required between departments, units, and facilities as needed
* Patient ratios of 5:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* 2 years of experience required; previous charge experience preferred
* Charting system: Epic
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, Missouri or Compact License
* Must have both Kansas and Missouri license or compact license in hand at time of submission
* No local candidates accepted within 75-mile radius
* Required skills include: accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, central line care/management, feeding tube care and management, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, pre/post cardiac cath, sheath removal, and telemetry monitoring
* Treats adults and geriatric patient populations
* Common patient diagnoses include sepsis, wound care, ETOH, SI, renal failure, AFIB, GIB, stroke, and COVID
* Special procedures include NIH Stroke Scale
* Special equipment includes virtual nurses, 12-lead EKG, AirVo, Voalte, and Omnicell
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
