Opportunity:

CVOR - Cardiothoracic - RN

Job Details:

* Work 3x12-hour night shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
* No on-call requirements; holiday call may be required
* Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted with 5+ years of experience
* Must be able to circulate complex cardiac cases including Thoracic, Vascular, Surgical Oncology, Colorectal, Pancreatic/Biliary MIS (Da Vinci), Plastics, Endocrine, and Bariatric procedures
* Types of cases include CABG, TAVR, LVAD, Impella, Valve, Ascending, Descending, and Heart & Lung Transplants
* Patient ratio is 1:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* Charting system: EPIC experience required
* South Carolina or multi-state RN license must be in hand at start of contract
* Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (must be AHA)
* Radiation badge required and will be provided by agency
* Required skills include: Aortic Aneurysm repair, CABG, CVOR, IABP, MAZE Procedure, Mitral valve replacement, Scrub Cardiovascular Surgery, TAVR, Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD/RVAD), and Circulate
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Radiology, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and Unit Secretary
* Facility may call off traveler 1 shift per 2-week pay period
* All requested time off must be provided at time of submission

Facility:

This facility is a Level I Trauma Center, Teaching Facility, and Magnet-designated hospital with 820 total staffed beds. The CVOR unit features 10 operating rooms and sees approximately 28 cases per day, serving adult patient populations. The facility supports a robust interdisciplinary team and utilizes EPIC as its charting system, providing a high-acuity environment ideal for experienced cardiovascular and thoracic surgical nurses.
