Job Details:

* 13-week assignment in the Operating Room
* Guaranteed 36 hours per week
* On-call is required
* Idaho RN license required at time of submission
* Must be available to start 10/12 or later - not earlier
* Unit operates 13 ORs with variable shift coverage Monday through Sunday
* Monday through Friday shift structure includes coverage from 6:30 AM through 7:00 AM the following day, with staffing levels decreasing throughout the day
* Weekend trauma coverage provided 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM with an additional Saturday call team running two rooms from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
* Call shifts rotate every four weeks to cover evening and night staffing; typical call shifts are 2, 4, 8, or 12 hours
* All staff expected to take two evening/night shifts per week and two weekend shifts per month
* Every attempt made to not schedule more than 60 hours of work and call combined per week
* Average 50 hours of surgical time Monday through Friday; weekends vary with Saturday busier than Sunday
* EMR system: Meditech
* 3+ years of operating room experience required
* Trauma experience required
* Shift and call flexibility required
* CNOR certification preferred
* Burn, robotic, and neuro experience preferred
* Typical procedures include burn care (wound debridement, skin grafting), dental, ENT, gastroenterology, general surgery, gynecology, neurosurgery, open heart, ophthalmology, orthopedics, plastics, psychiatry (ECT), robotics, trauma, and urology
* Required certification: BLS
* Dress code: Per AORN standards

This facility is a comprehensive surgical center featuring 13 operating rooms staffed by a robust team of registered nurses and certified surgical technologists. The unit handles a wide range of high-acuity procedures across multiple specialties, including trauma, neurosurgery, open heart surgery, and robotics. The facility maintains around-the-clock trauma coverage and is equipped with advanced technology including robotic surgical systems and neuro stealth navigation.
