Job Details:

* Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for each patient using the nursing process
* Accept responsibility for direction of co-workers and delegation of role-appropriate tasks in the implementation of care
* Provide quality care based on assessment needs and established plan of care
* Provide education for patients and families from admission through discharge
* Document nursing process thoroughly, accurately, and legibly
* Notify physician of pertinent observations and changes in patient status
* Administer medications and perform treatments in an accurate and safe manner
* Implement physician orders as written
* Ensure equipment and supplies are readily available for patient care
* Strong interpersonal, communication, and critical thinking skills required
* Ability to handle multiple priorities and make independent decisions
* Must be able to manage urgent situations calmly and communicate empathically with patients
* Supervise and direct nursing assistants in a professional manner
* Valid Ohio nursing license required
* CPR certification required
* Previous registered nursing experience preferred
* Heavy work required: exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally and frequent patient handling activity
