Emergency Nurse

Job Details:

* Full-time variable schedule with both night and day shifts available
* Work in the Emergency Department providing patient and family-centered care
* Deliver developmentally appropriate, culturally sensitive, and evidence-based nursing care
* Anticipate changes in patient outcomes and unit needs in the provision of care
* Communicate and advocate patient values, preferences, and needs to the interdisciplinary team
* Collaborate with inter-professional teams to foster open communication, mutual respect, and shared decision-making
* Apply communication practices that minimize risks across transitions of care
* Integrate best current evidence with clinical expertise and patient/family preferences for optimal health care delivery
* Participate in quality improvement activities including Root Cause Analyses, Apparent Cause Analyses, and Interdisciplinary Meetings
* Utilize outcome data at the patient level to make care decisions
* Navigate and document in the EMR to support patient care
* Work within scope of practice and delegate according to Nurse Practice Act
* Participate in shared governance and professional development activities
* Precept and educate orientees, peers, and students as a clinical resource
* Active RN license required
* Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience
* BLS certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association required with at least 3 months remaining before expiration
