Job Details:

* Night shift position working 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Self-scheduling available with shift options including days, nights, 9-9, 11-11, 1-1, and 3-3
* Every other weekend requirement
* Every other holiday requirement
* No on-call or standby requirement
* Floating to qualified units may be required
* Patient ratio of 1 to 4
* Manage 80-90 patients per day in a 24-bed emergency department with 3 trauma bays
* Fast track and separate triage area available with occasional triage responsibilities
* ER holds are intermixed within the department
* Common diagnoses include trauma, stroke, sepsis, CHF, and cardiac conditions
* Must be proficient in reading and interpreting ECG rhythms as there are no monitor technicians
* Blood draws performed by tech or RN
* Charting completed in EPIC; EMR system is Paragon
* CT and X-ray located adjacent to the emergency department
* Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, TNCC, and ENPC or PALS
* Navy scrubs required
* BSN not required
* Unit-specific orientation provided
* Cancellation policy: 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks

Facility:

This acute care facility operates a fully equipped emergency department with 24 beds and 3 trauma bays, supported by in-house security and a dedicated fast track area. The department is staffed with both ED physicians and mid-level providers, as well as charge nurses and house supervisors. The facility provides comprehensive emergency services including respiratory therapy support and maintains a collaborative care environment with nurse aides, paramedics, and patient sitters available on the unit.
