Job Details:

* Work 12-hour day shifts from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM
* Emergency Department setting on the 1st floor
* Patient ratio of 4:1
* 40-bed Emergency Department averaging 145 patients daily
* Work with equipment including IV pumps, EKG machines, ultrasound machines, Belmont, Lifepak, and GE Transport Monitors
* EMR system: Meditech
* Minimum 1 year of current ED RN experience required
* Required certifications: BLS, ALS, NIH, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC (PALS accepted in lieu of ENPC); CPI Blue card required
* Trauma level 1 or level 2 experience preferred
* Prior Meditech experience preferred
* CPI certification preferred
* Perform rapid assessments (ESI Triage), comprehensive nursing assessments, focused reassessments, and pain assessment and management
* Perform sepsis screening and interventions, stroke screening and interventions, and trauma level 1 and 2 activations
* Provide pediatric emergency care and behavioral health crisis intervention
* Perform vital sign monitoring, EKG, defibrillation, IV insertion, blood collection, blood culture collection, and medication administration
* Assist with sutures, staples, wound care, and splinting
* Ideal candidate is an experienced ER nurse who is a team player, motivated, and ambitious

Facility:

This emergency department facility operates a 40-bed unit with an average daily patient volume of 145 patients. The unit is staffed by approximately 110 team members including RNs, paramedics, EMTs, nurse externs, and unit secretaries across multiple shifts. The facility is equipped with modern technology and supports a wide range of emergency services including trauma level 1 and 2 activations, MCI response, procedural sedation, and behavioral health crisis intervention.
