Opportunity:

ICU/Tele - Resource Center

Job Details:

* Float position covering ICU and Telemetry units based on facility needs, including Stroke/Neuro, Cardiac (Cath Lab, Open Heart), Trauma, and General (DKA, Sepsis) ICUs
* Nurses must be versed in more than one ICU specialty to float between ICU and Telemetry units
* Guaranteed 36 hours per week; facility may cancel up to 3 shifts during the 13-week assignment
* 2 years of experience required
* Travel experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Weekend availability required
* No on-call required
* Up to 5 days of RTO approved with 1 holiday approved off
* Three missed shifts may result in cancellation of assignment
* Block scheduling is not available
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Required skills: Care of ventilated patients, continuous IV sedation, ICP monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, starting and maintaining IVs
* Charting system: Cerner (experience preferred)
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Trauma Level I experience preferred
* Strict dress code enforced: no facial hair, no acrylic nails, no unnatural hair colors, all tattoos must be covered, no visible body piercings other than earrings, no facial or nose rings, and earrings may not extend beyond the earlobe or be hoop earrings
* Scrubs: No specific color required, but no camouflage or character patterns
* Parking is free
