Job Details:

* Night shift starting at 7:00 PM (1800 start)
* 12-hour shifts
* Weekend requirement: every other weekend, may exceed to accommodate unit needs
* No on-call required
* Guaranteed hours: facility is able to call off once per two-week pay period
* Patient ratios: 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* Minimum 1 year of emergency room experience required - must have ER experience within the last year
* Experience in a facility with 200+ daily patient volume required
* Travel experience required
* First-time travelers not accepted
* Travel pairs will not be considered
* Block schedule available at manager's discretion
* RTO must be included at time of submission; must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, MAB, NIHSS, PALS
* Compact license must be in hand at submission; pending licenses not accepted
* Charting system: Epic (preferred experience)
* Scrub color: Royal Blue for RNs
* Free parking available
* 2 references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years
* Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities nearby the contracted facility
* Skills required include: triage, IV insertion and management, EKG/ECG interpretation, dysrhythmia management, arterial line management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, procedural sedation monitoring, and management of high-acuity conditions including STEMI, stroke, sepsis, behavioral health, and complex multi-system patients

Facility:

This is a 426-bed acute care hospital and 5-time Magnet-designated facility with Distinction, reflecting its commitment to nursing excellence and high-quality patient care. The emergency department features 60 beds and sees approximately 275 patients per day, making it a very high-volume environment with a highly complex patient population. The facility serves as a Comprehensive Cardiac Center, STEMI and Stroke receiving center, and Behavioral Health Center, supported by an interdisciplinary team including respiratory services, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretaries.
