Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 AM
* Every other weekend requirement with 4 weekend shifts in 4-week schedule
* First to float policy - may float to telemetry unit (1:4 ratio) or between med surg floors
* Patient ratio of 1:5
* One shift floor-specific orientation provided
* Must have 2-3 years of experience in specialty
* Previous travel experience required
* Must be a team player
* Required certifications: BLS and COVID vaccine
* Must be able to read and interpret telemetry, will take dysrhythmia exam
* No portable telemetry experience required but portable tele box available if needed
* Navy scrubs required
* Work into permanent staff rotation for holidays
* Care for medical patients and post-operative/surgical patient population
* Use Cerner EMR system
* Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, 3 shifts for shorter assignments
* Holiday RTO considered but not guaranteed
* BSN not required

This acute care facility operates a 30-bed medical surgical unit with comprehensive support services available 24/7. The facility maintains a Level 2 trauma designation and provides hospitalist coverage around the clock. The unit is supported by respiratory therapy, pharmacy services, and monitor technicians, ensuring comprehensive patient care. The facility employs 2 nurse aides during day shifts and 1 during nights, with clinical supervisors providing break relief without patient assignments.
