Job Details:

* Straight evening shifts from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM
* Weekend call scheduled in 8-hour blocks: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, and 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Up to 4 weeknight calls and 2 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
* Call required on weeknights and weekends
* No floating required
* 1 year of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* EPIC charting system experience required
* General OR and Trauma experience required
* Level I Trauma Center experience required
* Primarily adult and geriatric patient population
* 22 operating rooms
* 1:1 patient ratio
* Required certifications: BLS and CAC
* Active Michigan (MI) license required at time of submission - compact licenses not accepted
* Two manager or supervisor references required - charge nurse references not accepted
* Specialties include orthopedics (joint, oncology, trauma, hand/foot, sports medicine), general surgery, urology, plastics, ophthalmology, and interventional pulmonary
* Special equipment includes Da Vinci Robotic System, laparoscopic equipment, Stryker, Storz integration, variety of orthopedic implants and specialty beds, O-arm, C-arm, and Censitrac instrument scanning
* Interdisciplinary support available including interpretation services, pharmacy, and unit secretary

Facility:

This facility is a Level 1 Trauma Center equipped to handle a wide range of surgical specialties including orthopedics, general surgery, urology, plastics, ophthalmology, and interventional pulmonary procedures. The operating environment features 22 rooms and advanced surgical technology including robotic surgery systems and specialized orthopedic equipment. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support services and is committed to delivering high-quality surgical care to adult and geriatric patients.
