Opportunity:
Float Pool RN
Job Details:
* Float pool position requiring flexibility across multiple units including MS, MS Tele, PCU, ICU, Neuro ICU, and CVICU
* Primary floating assignment is ICU Float with potential to float to all MS, MS/Tele, PCU, and ICU units within the hospital
* Patient population: Adults to Geriatrics
* Patient ratios: 1:2-3 ICU; 1:4-5 PCU; 1:5-6 MS and MS Tele
* Every other weekend required (average 6 weekends per 13-week contract)
* Maximum 7 days of pre-approved time off per contract
* No RTO permitted during orientation week (Monday through Sunday)
* 48-hour guarantee approved but not mandatory
* Holiday work expectations apply based on number of major holidays falling within assignment period
* No on-call requirements
* Floating is required
* Minimum 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
* Required charting system experience: Epic (required), Pyxis, SBAR
* Scrub color: Navy Blue
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Key skills include arterial line management, ventilator management, central line care, blood product administration, CVA/acute stroke management, ICP monitoring, BiPAP/CPAP management, and interpretation of dysrhythmias among others
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, and Pharmacy
