Open Position: RN - Pre Op

Opportunity:

TRAVEL - RN - Pre-Op (709) - Wesley Medical Center - 7A - 7P - VENDOR

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
* Patient ratio of 1:3
* On-call is required with a 30-minute response time; 2 on-call shifts of 10 hours required every 8 weeks
* Minimum 1 year of current acute care Pre-Op RN hospital experience required
* Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
* Perform Phase 2 recoveries for Urology, GYN, and other same-day surgery patients
* Perform pre-op preparation for Surgery, Endo, Cath Lab, EP, and CT patients
* Assist with outpatient infusions, outpatient EKGs, blocks, and blood transfusions
* Operate equipment including Pyxis, GE MACVU EKG machine, Doppler, patient scale, and bladder scanner
* Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
* Some pre-op experience or ability to assist pre-op staff preferred
* Strong patient experience focus and communication skills with staff and providers required

Facility:

This medical center operates a Pre-Op Holding and Ambulatory Surgery Unit featuring 9 pre-op beds and 5 Phase 2 recovery beds. The unit is supported by a well-established team of full-time, part-time, and PRN registered nurses along with a unit health unit coordinator. The facility utilizes modern equipment and technology to support a wide range of surgical and procedural patient needs, with a strong emphasis on patient experience and collaborative communication among staff and providers.
