Opportunity:

RN - Post Partum

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Located on the 4th floor of the Women's Center
* 32 operational beds on unit with a total staff of 59 (FT/PT/PRN)
* Patient ratio of 1:3 couplets (varies based on mix)
* No on-call requirement
* Floating requirement includes antepartum for postpartum overflow and L&D recoveries
* EMR systems used: Meditech and CPN
* Must have couplet care competencies and breastfeeding support skills - candidates without these skills will not be considered
* Mother baby charge experience preferred
* Late-preterm or transitional newborn experience preferred
* Typical procedures include newborn screenings, blood glucose monitoring, jaundice monitoring, perineal and incision care, and feeding support
* Work collaboratively with OB, pediatricians, and lactation teams
* Follows evidenced-based policies for patient care including hourly rounding, bedside shift report, and teamwork standards
* Best personality fit includes being compassionate, team-oriented, detail-focused, and able to work well under pressure
