Job Details:

* Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* Community hospital experience required
* Phlebotomy experience required
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Required certifications: ASCP, ASCP MT, ASCP-MLS, ASCP-MLT, BLS
* Required licenses: APTA - Neurology Certification and ASCP or AMT
* Proficiency in a wide range of laboratory skills including blood banking procedures, specimen collection and preparation, urinalysis, culture plating, gram staining, and PCR testing
* Experience with transfusion reaction workup, crossmatching, and blood product handling required
* Proficiency in venipuncture and phlebotomy required
* Familiarity with quality assurance, quality controls, and hazardous materials handling required
* Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Candidates must reside more than 40 miles from the facility
* Valid state license required, must be at least pending with ETA clearly stated
* References required
* Pre-approved time off: one request
* Orientation hours: 80

Facility:

This community hospital supports a wide range of interdisciplinary services including IV teams, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation. The facility serves a diverse patient population across adolescent, adult, and geriatric age groups, maintaining a daily census of approximately 30 patients with around 20 visits per day. The organization is committed to high-quality clinical laboratory services and utilizes Epic as its electronic medical records system.
