RN - ICU

Job Details:

* Variable shift schedule, 12-hour shifts starting at 7:00 PM (1900) with occasional day shifts to fill unit needs
* No rotation required within the same week
* Weekend coverage required
* Patient ratio of 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* Self-scheduling
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required; 2 years preferred
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Compact nursing license must be in hand at time of submission
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Experience with the following skills required: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), Care of Ventilated Patients, CVA/Acute Stroke Management, Hypothermia Protocol/Arctic Sun, ICP Monitoring, Medical Intensive Care Unit, Neuro Intensive Care Unit, Post Craniotomy, Post Neurosurgery Management, Spinal Cord Injury, Surgical Intensive Care Unit, Traumatic Brain Injury, Assist with Chest Tube Insertion/Removal, and Infection Prevention/Isolation Precautions/PPE
* Experience with special procedures including EVD, CRRT (Prismaflex), CABG, IABP, and Impella
* Treats patient age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Common patient diagnoses include Sepsis, Respiratory Failure, ESRD, Trauma, and SDH
* Unit has 20 beds with a daily census of 10
* Interdisciplinary support available including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, and more
* Lifts available in all patient rooms
* May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby; refusal to float may result in termination or forfeiture of guaranteed hours
* 2 professional references required covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years
