Open Position: RN - PICU

Opportunity:

RN - Pediatric ICU

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
* Full-time position
* Ventilator and Pediatric ICU experience required with a minimum of 2 years
* Practice independently in a clinical setting, demonstrating awareness of all relevant aspects of patient care
* Provide routine and complex care for assigned patients utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
* Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
* Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
* Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
* Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers
* Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed
* Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
* Perinatal RN Residency or recent experience in a Pediatric setting preferred
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA)
* RN License in the state of TX or compact license required
