Opportunity:

RN - CVICU

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts, either 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* Rotating weekend schedule required
* No on-call requirements
* Guaranteed 36 hours per week
* Assignment length of 13 or 26 weeks
* Must float per facility floating policy
* Badge in and out for each shift with a full 30-minute lunch break required
* Clock-in time is 6:38 AM/PM - arriving after 6:45 AM/PM is considered tardy
* Minimum 2 years or more of ICU experience required
* Must be trained on CVICU devices to support CV cases
* Required skills include hemodynamic monitoring (swans, art lines), ventilator management, and strong critical thinking skills
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH
* Active TX RN license required - temporary license not accepted
* Preferred skills include IABP exposure, CRRT exposure, and Meditech charting/order entry
* Procedures performed on unit include post CABG, post VAD, and post cath with various cardiac support devices (IABP, Impella, ECMO)
* Documentation system: Meditech
* RN dress code: Navy scrub top and pants, navy or white scrub jacket
* Nails must be clean and healthy
* Hair should be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors; beards, mustaches, and sideburns must be neatly trimmed
* Body art should be covered whenever possible
* Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited
