Job Details:

* 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts with potential for 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts
* Variable on-call required on weekends and nights, 8 shifts per month including 3-day weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
* Every 3rd or 4th weekend required depending on rotation and time off requests
* Position will float within surgical services and may assist other departments within scope
* Patient ratios of 1:1, 1:2, and 1:4
* Position covers all areas within the surgery department including Pre-op, Post-op, Circulating, PACU, and Endo
* OR specialties include OBGYN, Ortho, GI/GS, ENT, Pain, and Dental
* Must be able to circulate C-sections (hard stop requirement)
* Treats patients across all age groups including adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
* Must be experienced working in a critical access hospital
* Must be well-rounded in surgical services and able to follow the patient from pre-op through discharge
* Epic EMR experience required
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* Compact nursing license must be in hand at time of submission
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
* Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities nearby; refusal to float may result in termination and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours

Facility:

This critical access hospital operates a full surgical services department encompassing pre-op, PACU, endoscopy, and operating rooms. The facility supports a wide range of surgical specialties including general surgery, orthopedics, OB-GYN, ENT, and dental procedures. An interdisciplinary support team including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams is available to support patient care across the surgical continuum.
