RN - M/S Tele-Neuro

Job Details:

* Night shift position with 12-hour shifts
* Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4 on day shift and 1:5 on night shift
* Float pool includes Medical/Surgical and Telemetry units, with potential to float within Zone 3 if extreme need arises
* Minimum of 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule
* Holiday shifts required
* Self-scheduling and block scheduling options available
* Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
* Set schedule communicated via established process from Nurse Manager
* Telemetry monitoring available 24/7 with tele techs; RN co-signs strips
* Required to titrate drips including analgesics for pain, anticoagulants for blood clots, and antihypertensives for blood pressure control
* Experience with cardiac drips and post cath lab required
* Respiratory therapy equipment includes CPAP, HFNC, and NRB
* Common patient diagnoses include congestive heart failure (CHF), hypertension, chest pain work-ups, COPD exacerbations, asthma, pneumonia, pancreatitis, bowel obstructions, gastrointestinal bleeding, and acute renal failure
* Charting system: EPIC
* Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA)
* Navy blue to Caribbean blue scrubs required for RNs
* BSN not required
* Valid state license required for submission
* Must be in state for full week of orientation
