Opportunity:

RN - Med/Surg Tele

Job Details:

* 3x12 day shift schedule with every other weekend coverage
* Staffing ratio of 1:6 for both days and nights
* Float required - may be floated to other units based on need and skill set
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
* Patient diagnoses include Stroke/TIA, Seizure, Syncope, Pneumonia, Chest Pain, Dialysis, Acute Kidney Failure, Post Heart Cath, Respiratory Failure, Encephalopathy, CHF, and Sepsis
* Unit serves as the inpatient unit for stroke and TIA patients as well as higher acuity med-surg patients
* Procedures include peritoneal dialysis and continuous bladder irrigation
* Medication system used is Omnicell
* Must have at least 1 year of EPIC EMR experience
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Active Tennessee RN license required
* Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
* Travel experience required
* Previous charge experience required
* No first-time travelers
* Required skills include BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line blood draw, continuous bladder irrigation, telemetry monitoring, interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of cardiac drips, PICC line management, wound care, and use of Rapid Response/Code teams

Facility:

This healthcare facility is a well-established inpatient medical unit with a strong focus on patient experience and high-acuity care. The unit features 30 beds and maintains a daily census of 27 patients, supported by a comprehensive interdisciplinary team including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretaries. The facility is equipped to handle complex neurological, cardiac, and medical-surgical cases with robust specialty support services.
