Job Details:

* Day shift position with every other weekend requirement
* 48-hour guaranteed time worked per week
* Float pool position rotating between Med/Onc, 2 surgical units, and 2 medical units
* First to float to any Med/Surg pod as needed
* 6:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
* Total care model with no PCAs
* No telemetry required, only occasional strip reading with remote tele monitoring available
* Common patient diagnoses include surgical services such as colorectal, hepatobiliary, bariatric, general, and orthopedic cases, as well as medical conditions including diabetes, heart disease, COPD, and kidney and GI conditions
* No drip titration required
* Charge nurse present on each shift and takes an assignment
* Respiratory therapy readily available to assist; RNs are not required to manage RT equipment independently
* Charting system: Cerner
* 3 shifts of unit/department specific orientation provided
* Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
* Navy scrubs required; scrubs not provided
* Required certification: BLS (AHA or ARC)
* Large hospital experience required
* BSN not required

The facility offers a well-supported work environment with charge nurses on every shift, readily available respiratory therapy, and remote telemetry monitoring.
