Job Details:

* Minimum 2 years of Level III-IV NICU experience required
* Shift times: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* Every other weekend rotation required with occasional back-to-back weekends
* No on-call responsibilities
* Block scheduling possible but not guaranteed
* Travel experience strongly preferred; first-time travelers will be considered
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP, Washington State license
* EMR system: EPIC
* Respiratory support for ventilators required; tracheostomy experience highly preferred
* Additional skills required: G-tubes, NG/OG, NCPAP, UAC/UVC management, PICC lines, medication administration, care plans, and discharge to home
* Patient types include: prematurity down to 22 weeks gestation, RDS, high-risk deliveries, feeders/growers, and NAS
* Preferred experience with surgical patients and HIE (Hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy)
* Possible floating to ER to act as a sitter, though rare
* Scrub color: any

Facility:

This 152-bed Level II children's hospital includes a Level IV NICU, which is the second highest designation in the state. The NICU consists of 70 beds with a typical census of around 50 patients and features private rooms. The NICU is part of a pediatric hospital attached to an adult hospital and includes high-risk labor and delivery services, as well as overflow capacity for a Level II Nursery accommodating feeders and growers.
