Job Details:

* 12-hour mid shifts with a 2:30 PM start time, every other weekend required
* Must be available to work 2 of the 3 major holidays, rotating with core staff
* Available shift times include: 6:30 AM?7:00 PM, 7:30 AM?8:00 PM, 9:30 AM?10:00 PM, 11:30 AM?12:00 AM, 2:30 PM?3:00 AM, and 6:30 PM?7:00 AM
* Patient ratio of 3:1 or 4:1
* 26 beds and trauma bays with a fast track area featuring 5 beds
* EMR system: Cerner - FirstNet; must read and interpret own cardiac monitor strips
* RNs responsible for all lab draws; no IV team on site
* Must be comfortable working with ventilated patients
* Common diagnoses include STEMI, CVA, trauma, minor complaints, and psychiatric patients; facility serves both adult and pediatric populations
* Level 2 trauma center and STEMI/CVA receiving center with 55,000 visits per year
* Scrub color required: Navy Blue for RNs
* No floating required
* Minimum 3?5 years of previous emergency department experience required
* BSN not required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS

Facility:

This acute care facility operates a high-volume emergency department that serves as both a STEMI and CVA receiving center, as well as a Level 2 trauma center. The department sees between 40 and 160 patients per day across 26 beds and trauma bays, with a dedicated fast track area. The facility maintains 24/7 respiratory therapy and pharmacy support, and provides care for a diverse patient population including adults and pediatric patients.
