Opportunity:

Neuro EXP Tele RN

Job Details:

* Float between units as needed to meet unit needs
* No on-call required
* Every other weekend required
* Block schedules not required
* Patient ratio of 1:4
* Must have Neurology RN experience and be comfortable with the NIH scale
* Must be proficient in caring for post-surgical neurology patients and various other neurology diagnoses
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* Epic charting system experience required and is a hard stop
* Scrub color: Any color for RNs
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Required skills: BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tubes (Emerson/PleurEvac), craniotomy, CVA (cerebrovascular accident), interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, neuro stepdown, pre/post neurosurgery, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, spinal cord injury, telemetry, and traumatic brain injury
* Patients seen include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Unit is a designated stroke unit with Thrombectomy Capable JCAHO designation
* Spine Center of Excellence with JCAHO designation
* NAEC Level 3 Epilepsy Center
* Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby contracted facility

Facility:

This facility is a short-term acute care hospital and Level II Trauma Center with Level II Pediatric Trauma Center designation, housing 629 staffed beds. As a teaching hospital, it provides a comprehensive and dynamic clinical environment with robust interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretarial support. The facility specializes in neuroscience care, including neurology, neurosurgery, and telemetry services.
