Opportunity:

Medical Surgical Registered Nurse

Job Details:

* 4x12 night shifts (48-hour weeks)
* On-call required as needed
* Weekend shifts required as needed; weekend block schedule may be considered and must be discussed during interview
* Patient ratio of 1:7 utilizing team nursing model with support from PCC, LPN, and other staff
* Unit serves adult and geriatric patient populations with general med-surg diagnoses
* 48-bed unit with a daily census of 46
* Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation
* Minimum 2 years of recent med-surg experience required; 3+ years preferred
* Level I or Level II Trauma experience required
* Large hospital experience preferred
* At least 1 prior travel assignment required
* Must hold an active RN license in the state or a compact RN license compliant with NLC guidelines
* EPIC experience preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Required skills: interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, starting and maintaining IVs, telemetry
* If assignment includes end-of-year holidays, traveler must be willing to work 2 of 3 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's) if all three fall during assignment, or at least 1 of 2 holidays if only 2 fall during assignment
* RNs may be floated between like units or campuses within a 20-mile radius
* Driver's license must be included with submission
* All requested time off must be submitted at time of submission and will not be accepted after an offer is made
