Opportunity:
Med Surg Float Team RN - 12hr Variables
Job Details:
* Work 12-hour variable day or night shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
* Guaranteed 36-48 hours per week (minimum of 36, up to 48 with overtime after 48 hours)
* Float team position rotating as needed within skillset to observation unit, cardiac unit, medical unit, surgical unit, ortho/neuro unit, inpatient rehab, and/or transitional care unit
* Facility will attempt to keep assignment within 1-2 like units but potential to float to other units exists
* Every weekend and holiday rotation required
* No on-call or callback requirements
* Day shift patient ratio 1:4, PM shift 1:4 or 1:5, and night shift 1:6 occasionally 1:7
* Minimum 1-2+ years of general Med/Surg experience required
* Must have experience with venipuncture and Cardizem
* Experience with ports, Foley/straight catheterization, and stable drips required
* Previous travel experience strongly preferred
* Epic charting experience strongly preferred within the past 2 years
* Required certifications: BLS (American Heart Association), active RN or Compact license, and NIHSS
* NIHSS certification preferred at time of submission; must be completed prior to end of orientation
* Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
* Scrub colors: No bright colors or character prints
