Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, plus one additional 8-hour shift throughout the week
* Varied start times available including 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM, and 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
* No self-scheduling for travelers; block scheduling available if it meets unit needs
* Holiday call rotation as needed
* One weeknight on-call 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM per week (rotating)
* One weekend 24-hour on-call shift (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM) per month
* Call response time is 30 minutes; providers on-call who are more than 30 minutes away may be required to stay on-site
* Float to outpatient surgery as needed
* Work in a facility with 9 ORs, 1 procedure room, and 1 hybrid room handling 35-45 cases per day
* Perform circulating duties across a wide range of surgical specialties including general, ENT, eyes, ortho, robotics (Da Vinci and Rosa), neuro spine, vascular, trauma, and pediatric cases
* Must have experience passing arms in and out for robotics procedures
* Must be comfortable working as the only RN overnight with 2 techs
* Must have experience with all specialties for evening and night shifts
* Scrubbing is a plus but not required for RNs
* Responsible for turning over rooms (no aides or housekeeping available)
* Scrubs are provided
* Orientation consists of 3 shifts over 1 week
* 2-3 years of experience in the OR specialty required
* 2-3 previous travel assignments required
* Ortho experience required
* Must have Epic EMR experience
* Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA); PALS preferred
* BSN not required
* Active state license required

Facility:

This acute care facility operates a comprehensive surgical services department that is open 24/7, featuring 9 operating rooms, a procedure room, and a hybrid room. The department handles a high volume of 35-45 cases per day across a broad range of surgical specialties including orthopedics, neurosurgery, robotics, vascular, trauma, and pediatric cases. The OR staff consists primarily of travel professionals, and the department utilizes Epic as its electronic medical records system.
