Opportunity:

RN MS/Tele (Ortho)

Job Details:

* Every other weekend requirement with 6 weekend shifts per contract
* Patient ratio of 1:5-6 on days, nights, and weekends
* Work on a 26-bed adult orthopedic spine unit specializing in spinal surgeries including laminectomies, spinal fusions, and discectomies
* Provide comprehensive care including integrated pain management, physical therapy, and mobility support
* Care for patients with diagnoses including Med/Surg, Tele, cardiac, low-risk ACS, TIAs, diabetes, hypertension, COPD, dehydration, chest pain, DVT, and PE
* Perform and assist with special procedures including bedside lumbar puncture, post cath (radial/femoral), post-surgical care, post renal biopsy, CT Angio, and Heparin drips
* Operate special equipment including telemetry, bedside pulse oximetry, dinamaps, and glucometers
* Float to other units or campuses as needed based on census, limited to areas where competencies have been documented
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
* Minimum 1 year of experience required; 2 years preferred
* Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
* Orthopedic experience required
* Must have an active SC or multistate nursing license
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred
* First-time travelers accepted
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, Dysrhythmia certified
