RN - L&D

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* 3 shifts per week with 36 guaranteed hours per week
* Weekend shifts required with rotating schedule
* 13-week assignment length
* Minimum 2 years of high-risk labor and delivery experience required
* High-risk obstetrical bedside training required, including circulating in C-section and recovering high-acuity patients
* Intermediate AWHONN fetal monitoring certificate required
* Experience with GE fetal monitors required
* Documentation systems used: Meditech and CPN
* Perform and assist with vaginal deliveries, C-sections, D&C procedures, and post-delivery recovery care
* Patient ratios follow AWHONN staffing guidelines: cervical ripening 2:1, triage 3:1, stable postpartum mag 2:1, unstable or laboring mag 1:1, pit or active labor 1:1, early labor 2:1
* Ability to float to antepartum unit within Women's service line as needed
* Dress code: scrubs required; no artificial nails, gel, or next-gen nails; hair must be neat and pulled back if shoulder length or longer; beards and facial hair must be neatly trimmed; body art must be covered whenever possible; visible piercings other than ears are prohibited

This facility is a high-risk obstetrical unit located within a large women's hospital, offering comprehensive labor and delivery services across a 24-bed unit. The unit specializes in high-risk obstetric care and is equipped with modern GE fetal monitoring technology to support complex maternal and neonatal cases. The facility maintains AWHONN staffing ratios approximately 80% of the time to ensure quality patient care standards are consistently met.
