Opportunity:

RN - Medsurg/Onc

Job Details:

* Day and night shifts available: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* Every other weekend requirement
* Holiday requirement as needed
* No on-call or standby requirement
* Nurse-to-patient ratios: Days 1:4-5, Nights 1:5-6
* Nurse aides and patient care techs available on unit at a ratio of 1:8
* Charge nurse present on each shift as a resource, usually without assignment
* Monitor techs on unit; RNs not required to read and interpret telemetry strips
* RNs required to titrate drips including Lasix and Heparin
* Experience with trach and BiPAP preferred but not required
* Lasix titration experience preferred but not required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Will float to other MedSurg units; telemetry RN will handle strips if floated to tele unit; ER holds occasionally; no mom/baby floating
* No specific scrub color required
* 1-2 shifts of unit-specific orientation provided
* Block scheduling considered if unit needs are met
* Charting system: EPIC
* BSN not required
* Trauma Level 2, Acute Care setting
* Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
