Open Position: RN - Med Surg Adult

Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2290.72

Opportunity:

RN - Medical/Surgical

Job Details:

* Work three 12-hour shifts per week
* Every other weekend required
* Every other holiday required
* Nursing ratio of 5:1 on days and 5-6:1 on nights, with nurses occasionally having 1 total care patient
* Care for a wide variety of patients with primary population being stroke patients who do not require TPA, as well as comfort care and hospice patients
* Manage post-operative patients including those with amputations, drains, chest tubes, and feeding tubes
* Administer and monitor heparin drips
* Provide wound care and manage patients with altered mental status
* Care for CIWA patients, AKI patients, dialysis patients, and COPD exacerbation patients
* NIHSS certification required
* Stroke certification preferred
* Required certifications: Current CPR/BLS, ACLS
* Current Illinois Registered Nurse license required

This facility features a 25-bed medical unit with 11 private rooms and 7 semi-private rooms. The unit provides comprehensive medical and surgical care, with specialized services spanning cardiac care, intensive care, progressive care, emergency services, and more. The facility is equipped to handle a broad range of patient needs, offering a dynamic and well-supported environment for nursing professionals.
