Opportunity:

RN NICU NIGHTS

Job Details:

* Night shift position with variable days of the week
* 12-hour shifts
* Patient ratio of 1:2 for all shifts including weekends
* 6 to 8 weekend shifts (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) required per 6-week period, typically 2 Fridays, 2 Saturdays, and 2 Sundays
* On-call requirement of one 12-hour shift every 6 weeks
* Self-scheduling
* 2 years of Level III NICU experience required
* First-time travelers accepted with required experience
* Required certifications: RN license, BLS, NRP
* Epic charting system experience required
* Navy scrub color required
* Potential to float to Mother Baby Unit (infant care only) or sister facilities based on facility need
* Care for neonatal patients ranging from 22 weeks to post-term, with specialization in micro-preemies less than 28 weeks
* Average daily census of 48 patients across 55 beds
* Required skills include administration of blood and blood products, arterial line management, bubble CPAP, central line care, high frequency ventilation, neonatal dosage calculations, UAC/UVC management, ventilator management, and additional specialized neonatal procedures

Facility:

This facility is home to the largest Level III NICU in metro Denver, featuring 55 beds and a dedicated delivery service. The unit specializes in the care of micro-preemies under 28 weeks gestation and accepts patients ranging from 22 weeks to post-term. The majority of patients come from the facility's high-risk delivery service, and the unit is supported by an interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and interpretation services.
