Opportunity:

MS/TELE

Job Details:

* 36 guaranteed hours per week
* Client can cancel up to 3 shifts during the 13-week assignment
* Night and day shifts available with variable weekend requirement
* Float required between MS, Tele, and MS/Tele units based on facility needs
* No on-call required
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Local candidates accepted
* Block scheduling not available
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Charting system: Cerner experience preferred
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
* Patient diagnoses include orthopedic, neurological, cardiac, oncology, general, and diabetes-related conditions
* Must have experience with stroke patients including CVA, intracranial bleeds, and pre/post neurosurgery care
* Required skills include telemetry interpretation, management of dysrhythmias, and ventilator management/conscious sedation
* ICU/ED experience preferred
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Trauma Level I experience preferred
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
* Scrub color: No specific color required, but no camouflage or character patterns
* Strict dress code enforced: No facial hair, no acrylic nails, no unnatural hair colors, all tattoos must be covered, no visible body piercings other than earrings, no facial or nose rings, and earrings may not extend beyond the earlobe or be hoop earrings
* Up to 5 days of RTO approved with 1 holiday approved off

Facility:

This is an acute care hospital designated as a Magnet facility, teaching hospital, and Level II Trauma Center. With 412 staffed beds, the facility provides comprehensive inpatient care supported by an interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy. The facility utilizes Cerner for charting and offers free parking for staff.
