Opportunity:

RN - Med/Surg Ortho

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
* 3 shifts per week schedule
* Every 3rd weekend required with 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period (weekend nights are Fridays and Saturdays)
* Rotating holiday requirement
* No on-call or standby requirement
* Acute care setting with 32-bed Med/Surg Ortho unit
* Patient ratio of 1:5
* Specialty in post-op cancer intervention including prostatectomy and mastectomy procedures
* Required to titrate drips including heparin, lidocaine, and TPN
* Telemetry monitoring on unit with central monitoring - RN responsible for noticing changes
* Nurse aids available on unit dependent on sitter needs at a 1:15 ratio
* Charge nurse and house supervisor available on unit
* Floating is rare and only to other medical/surgical units when needed
* Charting system: EPIC
* Navy scrubs required
* Unit/department specific orientation provided
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA)
* Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
* Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments
* Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
