Clinical Dietitian

Job Details:

* Work 5x8-hour shifts Monday through Friday with some Saturdays required depending on patient census
* Guaranteed 40 hours per week
* Average of 12 patient visits per day
* No on-call or floating requirements
* Block scheduling available
* Locals accepted
* Serve patient age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Utilize Cerner charting system (experience required)
* Scrub color: any solid color or lab coat
* Free parking available
* Required certifications: Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and BLS
* Preferred certification: Advanced Practice or specialist certification in diabetes, weight management, or other related specialty
* Minimum 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* Community hospital and LTAC experience preferred
* Key skills include calorie counts, enteral nutrition (tube feedings), food-drug interactions, total parenteral nutrition (TPN), nutrition assessments and reassessments, and developing plans of treatment
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and more

This short-term acute care teaching facility and Level IV trauma center operates with 87 staffed beds and supports a wide range of patient care needs. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support services including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams, ensuring a collaborative and well-resourced environment for healthcare professionals.
