Opportunity:

Critical Care Travel Assignment

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts with every other weekend requirement and holiday support
* ICU patient ratio of 2:1, PCU patient ratio of 4-5:1
* No on-call requirements but floating to other units is required
* Work on 10-bed ICU/PCU overflow unit without unit secretaries or PCTs
* Day shift: 1 Charge RN, 5 Staff RN; Night shift: 1 Charge RN, 5 Staff RN
* Must have Medical ICU experience in large facility
* Must be comfortable with hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
* Must be a critical thinker, flexible, and work well with others
* Advanced skills required: ventilator management, critical care pharmacology (IV sedation, paralytics, vasopressors), advanced hemodynamic monitoring, central line management
* Assist providers with bedside procedures including chest tube insertion and intubations
* Work with equipment including lift equipment, Targeted Temperature Management (TTM), ventilators, and IV pumps
* Documentation using Cerner system
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
* Dress code: Navy blue or white scrubs
* Bedside shift report mandatory, relief charge nurses perform nurse leader rounding

This healthcare organization operates a specialized 10-bed ICU/PCU overflow unit located on the 3rd floor of the A tower, D corridor.
