Job Details:

* Work in an acute care setting with 10 or 12 hour shift options available
* Variable shift start times between 6:00 AM and 9:00 AM with call; no evening or weekend shifts
* On-call requirement of 1 shift per week and every 4th weekend
* Holidays covered by call
* 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio; nurses circulate with scrubbing as a plus but not required
* Scrub techs utilized on the unit
* Floating not required
* Orientation consists of 1 week of paperwork and 1 week partnered with a preceptor
* Work in main OR (4 beds) handling primarily orthopedic cases including total hips, knees, and joints
* Pavilion (8 beds) cases include neuro and ortho spine, general, gynecology, urology, and ENT
* CV and robotic cases only assigned to providers with relevant experience
* 15 to 25 cases per day with approximately 400 cases per month; 20 to 25% are inpatient cases
* Critical patients transfer directly to ICU from OR
* Anesthesia performed exclusively by anesthesiologists with no CRNAs
* EMR system: Cerner Surginet; prior experience with this system strongly preferred
* Minimum 2 years of OR experience required
* Scrubs provided by the facility
* BSN not required
* Required certifications: BLS

Facility:

This acute care facility operates a well-established surgical program across two OR settings, supporting a high volume of cases spanning orthopedics, neuro and ortho spine, general surgery, gynecology, urology, and ENT. The facility maintains structured and particular processes within its OR suites and is supported by a dedicated team of anesthesiologists. A charge nurse is present on the unit and does not take patients or cases, allowing for strong unit oversight and support.
