Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2133.20

Opportunity:

RN - Ortho/Trauma

Job Details:

* Work three 12-hour shifts per schedule period with three weekend shifts required per schedule period
* 48 hours guaranteed per week
* Patient ratio of 1:4 to 1:5
* Work on a 23-bed Ortho/Trauma unit
* Care for post-op knee, hip, and shoulder replacement patients as well as trauma patients and some neuro overflow
* Utilize equipment including traction, fixators, and cooling equipment
* Document using Meditech system
* Participate in bedside shift report and hourly rounding
* Contract labor is first to float and may float to other MedSurg level of care units including General MS, Nephrology, and Neuro/Trauma
* Unit support includes Unit Secretary and PCTs
* Required certifications: BLS
* Ortho experience required
* Telemetry and NIH stroke scale experience required
* NIH certification is helpful
* Required uniform: Navy scrubs

This facility is a Level 1 Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center, demonstrating a commitment to providing the highest level of emergency and specialty care. The Ortho/Trauma unit consists of 23 beds and is supported by Unit Secretaries and PCTs, offering a collaborative and well-resourced environment for nursing staff. The facility utilizes Meditech for documentation and maintains modern equipment to support a wide range of orthopedic and trauma patient needs.
