Opportunity:

Free Standing ER RN

Job Details:

* Work 3x12-hour rotating shifts per week consisting of two night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM) and one mid shifts (11:00 AM to 11:00 PM)
* Every other weekend required
* No on-call required
* Patient ratios of 1:5-7 depending on shift (days: 1:5, nights/weekends: 1:7)
* Possible float to Kiawah FSED and Summerville FSED as needed
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* 1 year of general emergency experience required (combined adult and pediatric)
* First-time travelers accepted
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
* Preferred certifications: NRP, TNCC
* South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact State RN License required
* CVA and Epic experience required
* Scrub color: Royal Blue
* Charting system: Epic
* Care for patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
* Required skills include management of dysrhythmias, central line care and management, IV vasopressors, BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, triage, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, phlebotomy, starting and maintaining IVs, obtaining 12-lead EKG/ECG, emergency medications, and CVA management
* Block scheduling available pending manager approval based on unit needs
* Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June through November), all contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams, with peak activity in August and September

Facility:

This stand-alone emergency room facility provides comprehensive emergency care services to patients of all age groups, from neonates to geriatrics. The facility maintains a daily census of approximately 50 patients across 15 rooms and 14 beds, supported by interdisciplinary services including interpretation services and radiology. The facility utilizes Epic for charting and is equipped to handle a wide range of emergency diagnoses and procedures.
