Opportunity:

5S Medical Surgical/Oncology RN

Job Details:

* 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Weekday shifts with every other weekend required
* 36 or 48 hour contract options available
* 36 hours guaranteed per week
* Float within scope to meet facility needs as required
* Patient ratio of 4-5:1 during days and 5-6:1 during nights
* 29-bed unit serving adult medical and surgical oncology patients, palliative care, urology, and telemetry patients
* Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
* WV or Compact RN license required; pending license accepted for submission
* Candidates must have a permanent address 100 miles from the facility; candidates between 75-100 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis
* Required certifications: BLS, ONCC/ONS (Chemo certification)
* Charting system: Cerner experience required
* Scrub color: Royal Blue/White (RN)
* Parking is free for travelers
* Skill requirements include: Telemetry, Central Line Draws, Ports, Blood Administration, PCA Pumps, Bone Marrow Aspiration Assist, and Pleurx Chest Tubes
* Chemotherapy administration experience preferred but not required
* Special equipment includes: PCA, CBI, Feeding Pumps, and Bladder Scanner
* Minimum 2 Manager and/or Charge Nurse references from the past 2 years required
* Holiday RTO requests limited to no more than 1 of the 3 major holidays
* Blocked schedule requests may be accommodated

The Medical Surgical/Oncology unit focuses on delivering compassionate care to patients battling cancer, including palliative care, family education on oncological processes, and support for urology and telemetry patients.
