Open Position: RN - Rehab Inpatient

Opportunity:

RN - Inpatient Rehab

Job Details:

* Work on a 15-bed Inpatient Rehabilitation unit with a patient ratio of 5:1, maximum 6:1
* Day shift includes 1 charge nurse (takes full patient load), 2 RNs, and 1 CNA
* Night shift includes 1 charge nurse (takes full patient load), 2 RNs, and 1 CNA
* Every other weekend required with holiday coverage
* On-call seldom required unless overall hospital census is low
* Perform patient transfers, bladder scans, dressing changes, and medication administration
* Utilize equipment including vital signs machines, transfer equipment (Hoyer lift, sliding boards), EKG, and bladder scanner
* Document using Meditech EMR and Pyxis
* Complete bedside report/handoff, hourly rounding, and ensure bed alarm activation
* Float to Med-Surge, Tele, Renal, Urology, Orthopedic, and Overflow Units between hospitals (excludes ICU)
* Transfer training and EMR proficiency required
* Rehab experience and rehab scoring documentation preferred
* Required certifications: BLS, RN Licensure
* Strong teamwork skills and ability to take initiative required

Facility:

This facility features a 15-bed Inpatient Rehabilitation unit located on the third floor, providing specialized rehabilitative care to patients at capacity. The unit operates with a structured staffing model across both day and night shifts and supports patients through a range of rehabilitative procedures and therapies. The facility utilizes modern medical equipment and electronic medical record systems to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient clinical operations.
