Opportunity:
Case Manager RN
Job Details:
* 5x8 day shift schedule with shift times varying between 7:00 AM?3:30 PM, 7:30 AM?4:00 PM, 8:00 AM?4:30 PM, or 8:30 AM?5:00 PM
* Guaranteed 72 hours per 2-week period; traveler may be called off for one 8-hour shift per 2 weeks
* Monday through Friday business hours required with weekends required to meet department needs
* Every other weekend or 4 weekend days within a 4-week schedule required
* No on-call required
* Must float within case manager services to cover gaps as needed
* Patient caseload ratio of 30 patients per day
* Serves patient age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
* Responsibilities include discharge planning, care coordination, continued stay reviews, needs assessments, DME ordering, pre-certification reviews, prior authorizations, and determining medical necessity per evidence-based guidelines
* Must utilize InterQual criteria and Milliman guidelines
* Acute care hospital experience required; behavioral health experience does not apply
* Minimum 1?2 years of experience required
* Epic EMR experience required
* Microsoft Office/Teams experience preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Trauma Level II experience preferred
* Required certifications: Alaska RN License (must be in hand), ACM-RN certification preferred, BLS preferred
* Scrubs are provided by the facility
* Parking is free
* Candidate's permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
* Only one time-off request of 5 days or less permitted per 13-week assignment
* Must be willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's
* Block scheduling is not available
