Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Every other weekend requirement
* Every other holiday requirement
* Auto lunch deductions apply
* Patient ratio of 1 to 4
* Approximately 180-200 patient visits per day ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics
* Cancellation policy allows 12 hours every 2 weeks
* Must wear Caribbean Blue scrubs
* 5+ years of experience required
* BSN not required
* Must have experience with Meditech 6.15 EMR system
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, CPI
* Nurses responsible for own lab draws and IV starts
* Work in acute care setting with 6-bed behavioral lockdown area staffed by psych
* 24/7 respiratory therapy support dedicated to the ER
* Charge nurse, nurse aides/paramedics, security, and patient sitters available on shift
* Central monitoring tech available for telemetry monitoring
* Pharmacy available in department 11 hours per day and on campus 24/7
* Common diagnoses include trauma, CVA, ortho, and neuro cases with some cases transferred out
* Two orientation shifts required during week one and must be completed within that week unless approved by leadership prior to start date

This acute care facility operates a high-volume emergency department seeing approximately 180-200 patient visits per day. The emergency department is supported by a dedicated 24/7 respiratory therapy team, around-the-clock pharmacy services, and a comprehensive team including charge nurses, nurse aides, paramedics, and security personnel. The facility serves as a CVA center and manages a wide range of cases from pediatrics to geriatrics, including trauma, neurological, and orthopedic patients.
