Job Details:

* Night shift position with option for 48-hour or 36-hour shift schedules (indicate preference at time of submission)
* Patient ratio of 1:6/7 on nights and weekends under team nursing model with support from PCC, RN, and others
* Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics
* Daily census of 42 patients across 48 beds
* On-call required as needed
* Weekend shifts required as needed; weekend block schedule may be considered
* IV Certification is a firm requirement
* Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Medical Surgical specialty required; 3+ years preferred
* First-time travelers not accepted unless candidate has 3 or more years of recent experience
* At least 1 prior travel assignment required
* Level I Trauma experience required
* Large hospital experience required
* Travel experience required
* EPIC charting system experience preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Skills required: Med/Surg, MS/Tele, starting and maintaining IVs
* Patient diagnoses include cardiac med/surg cases such as CHF, AMI, post cath lab, PPM placements, ablations, and general med/surg; duties include verifying rhythm strips and managing drips including heparin titration per protocol
* Interdisciplinary support available including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and Transportation
* Must live at least 100 miles from the facility; local travelers are not accepted
* All requested time off must be submitted at time of candidate submission; RTO will not be approved after an offer has been presented
* If assignment includes end-of-year holidays and all three major holidays fall within the assignment period, traveler must be willing to work 2 of the 3 holidays; if only 2 holidays fall within the assignment, traveler must work at least 1
