Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts from 1:00 PM to 1:30 AM
* Every-other weekend requirement
* Occasional holiday shifts required
* Patient ratio of 3-4:1
* See 125-140 patients per day in a 33-bed unit with 2 trauma bays
* Common diagnoses include stroke, STEMI, trauma, and ACS
* Fast track unit available
* Charting completed in Epic EMR
* Lab draws required
* Ventilator experience required
* Navy blue scrubs (top and bottom) required
* Charge nurse available 24/7
* ED technicians, security, IV team, respiratory therapy, and pharmacy support available on site
* Primary location at St. Joseph Medical Center with potential floating required throughout Region Two: St. Clare Hospital - Lakewood, WA; St. Elizabeth Hospital - Enumclaw, WA; and St. Joseph Medical Center - Tacoma, WA
* One day of floor-specific orientation provided
* Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
* Must have completed at least one previous travel assignment
* BSN not required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC

Facility:

This acute care emergency department features 33 beds and 2 trauma bays, along with 5 psychiatric and seclusion rooms to support a wide range of patient needs. The facility operates with 24/7 charge nurse coverage, security, and IV team support, as well as around-the-clock respiratory therapy services. The emergency department is staffed by both physicians and mid-level providers, ensuring comprehensive care for high-acuity patients including stroke, STEMI, trauma, and acute coronary syndrome cases.
