Job Details:

* Work on 3 West floor caring for medical/surgical orthopedic patients
* Maximum patient ratio of 6:1 with ability to care for 4-6 patients at a time
* Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 5 RNs, 2 PCAs, 1 unit secretary, and 0-2 sitters
* Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, 1-2 PCAs, and 0-2 sitters
* Rotating weekends required
* Float to other medical/surgical units as needed
* Work with Meditech EMR system and standard equipment
* Perform standard nursing skills including IV insertions, urinary catheter insertion/maintenance, central line maintenance, medication administration, and documentation
* Communicate effectively with all members of the care team
* Must have 2+ years acute medical/surgical experience within the last year
* 2+ years orthopedic nursing experience preferred
* RN license required
* Scrubs dress code
* Friendly, positive, patient-centered, and team-focused personality required
