Open Position: Lab Specialist - MLT

Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2272.40

Opportunity:

MT/MLT - Hematology

Job Details:

* Work 10-hour night shifts from 8:30 PM to 7:00 AM
* Block schedule format working 8 days on and 6 days off, Wednesday to Wednesday with every other Thursday through Tuesday off
* Work exclusively in the hematology department on the coagulation and urinalysis section
* Weekend and holiday availability required
* No on-call or standby call requirements
* No direct patient contact and no phlebotomy required
* Preferred experience with Epic Beaker, Werfen Tops 500 and 750 for coagulation testing, and Iris for urinalysis
* Charting system: Epic Beaker
* No designated scrub color; may wear scrubs or business casual; no open-toed shoes
* Orientation will include dayshift training for four weeks before independent work begins
* Candidates preferred who can commit to 6-month contracts
* Required certifications: Certified Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) via ASCP verification or Certified Medical Technologist (MT) via AMT verification
* West Virginia High Complexity Testing Personnel (HCTP) License or Trainee License required
* Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology/Medical Laboratory Science or Bachelor's degree in a chemical or biological science required

The laboratory is equipped with advanced instrumentation and utilizes Epic Beaker as its primary laboratory information system. The facility emphasizes thorough onboarding and training, ensuring all staff are well-prepared before working independently.
